July 30 Announcements

Good morning.  Here is a flipped video on how to use our blog to stay informed, collaborate with others and find important links, documents and resources.

Rationale - Do  you remember the URL for the website to our car tag system?  There's no need to remember it.  It's here. Watch this video and learn more about how our blog can help us build stronger lines of communication within our large campus.

Family Slide Show

I hope you have been having a great summer with your friends and family.  We want to celebrate summer with you when you come back.  CLICK HERE to email me a picture of you having fun this summer with your family and friends, and give a short description of where you are and what you are doing.  We are going to make a slide show for our first day together on August 16.

Celebrate our Summer

Thank you to Kathy Ferrell, Cecelia Boykins and Jackie Low for working with our summer reading program students.

1st Grade Collaboration

I would like to give a shout-out to 1st grade.  We have 5 new teachers in 1st grade, and they have been collaborating with their new team all week long to get ready for the start of school.

Kindergarten in 2 Day Training

We had about 40 district and elementary staff members learn how to incorporate Twitter and Blogger into their instruction and strengthen their parent communication.  If you couldn't make it, don't sweat it.  I will be offering more training on this beginning in August and throughout the year.

Getting Ready

If you are needing district resources for your classroom, please contact your assistant principal. They will be back on duty beginning Friday, August 2

          • Adra Barnes - 1st and 2nd grade, Science Lab & Music
          • Melanie Bridges - PK, K, Lifeskills
          • Cari Traylor - 3rd and 4th grade, Social Studies Special & Art

Are you looking for some resources?  Email Marie Davis in room 208.  She has ELA and math resources that she would like to get rid of.

If you have resources that you would like to get rid of, leave a comment to let everyone know.
